Online Career Assessment Tool (OSCAR)

OSCAR http://oscar.nie.edu.sg/, a research-based product from the National Institute of Education, is designed to provide career guidance online and help you find answers to some vital questions in career planning such as:

What types of career match my interests and abilities?
What kind of work roles suit me best in the world of work?
Which occupations would give me job satisfaction?

  

The Occupation Information Module is accessible to all visitors of the OSCAR website. It provides comprehensive and up-to-date information on 300 occupations in Singapore.

Since NYJC has registered with OSCAR, our students have access to the Occupation Exploration Module. It takes the user through a journey of self discovery by assessing your career interests and vocational abilities and generating your personal career interest profile.

Students will be briefed on how to access the system in Term 2, followed by a Civics Tutorial session to analyse the result.
